what do you do when you don’t know what to do?when you are sitting, idle, and you don’t know what to do?
there are things to do. there are things you could do.there are things that, later, you must do.
but what do you do?
i like to sit and listen. right now, they’re building something across the street from where i live. it’s loud. i listen.
other times, i write. the realization that i don’t know what to do only comes because i already was in a pensive state of mind. so i take the blabber out of the box, turn it into dialogue, put it on the page.
i remember now. i wanted to make myself some coffee.
